My Name is James Cody Garcia – folks call me “Cody.” 

I play the bass guitar for the local church, I enjoy traveling the world, I’m a recent proud Texan, cowboy poseur convert to the more mellow, West Coast lifestyle, and like most cartoonists, my ultimate goal is to work for a top animation studio.

I aspire to design characters that will affect kids the way I have been affected, still applying lessons to my adult life learned from watching cartoons as a child.  I find it an extremely clever means for instilling values and hope, allowing the viewer to learn vicariously through characters’ funny moments, imperfections, struggles and dreams.  With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, community involvement, and some time spent in different cultures around the world, I bring with me the social skills and awareness with artistic creativity and experience needed to provide input in team’s effort for a successful film.  As a bonus, I am able to brew a fine pot of coffee, accomplish tasks in record time, and entertain with my mad dance skills.
